Mickey Mouse in a Haunted House

Here's a spooky Mickey Mouse Halloween short cartoon called "Haunted House".

Psycho Charger's Channel 13 video

My good graveyard pal Jimmy Psycho (aka 1313's El Psycho) front ghoul of N.Y.C's rawk-a-billy horror music band Psycho Charger, has recently stitched together his first music video for the song "Channel 13" which features the voice of Toxic Toon's creator Unkle Pigors which is currently on their latest monster-mashing album "Curse of the Psycho".

Beware!!! This is a must see video for all you little trick-or-treater's out there in Kreepsville, and is not for the faint of heart!

To view the video, drag your bones over to Psycho Charger's official grave site. And while your there, don't be a foolish mortal and purchase your very own copy of their "Curse of the Psycho" featuring "Channel 13" and 1313's theme song "Welcome to Kreepsville, U.S.A".

David Hartman presents... Cemetery Bones

Check out this eye-popping cover art for my pal David Hartman's (aka 1313 Magazine's Baron Von Sasquatch) upcoming 70's EC horror style comic book, Cemetery Bones. The comic will be released through his Sideshow Monkey Comix title, and it's going to be a jack-o-lantern full of cute girls, scary monster's and other things that go bump in the night! What else can a kreep ask for?

To learn more about David's current and upcoming projects or to purchase his new koffin table art book "Sideshow Monkey - The Art of David Hartman", check out his official grave site Sideshowmonkey.com.

Keep an eye out for some major monster coverage on both Cemetery Bones, and his art book in our next 4th spook-takular installment of 1313 Magazine "The Phantom Monster Show".

Cereal Killers

Here's a sneak-peak for all you trick-or-treater's from our upcoming cartoon monster koffin table full-color and hard bound artbook "Cereal Killers". I've wanted to do something like this for quite sometime and started working on it for the past 2 months or so. I've invitied a jack-o-lantern full of my favorite animators and illustrators from the animation industry, among others who I admire to create monsterous versions of their favorite breakfast cereal mascot's or they can also create their own. This includes; Derek Yaniger who's creating a wrap around cover art, Lili Chin and Eddie Mort of Fwak Animation (creators of Mucha Lucha), Super-Macho's Jorge R. Gutierrez and wife Sandra Equihua, Gabe Swarr, Dan Thompson, Saxton Moore, Bob Rissetto, Lou Romano, Rob Lilly, Chris Reccardi (director on Super Monkey Robot Hyperforce Team Go!), Ridd Sorensen (director of Cartoon Networks Atomic Betty), Pete Oswald, Paul Watling, Kevin Schmid, Pat Paku, Chris Savino, Warren Leonhard, Jay Stephens and Aaron Blecha who's Mucky Blarms pin-up you can see above, plus so many more!

The book is half way done and I hope to have it finished in less than 2 months. In the meantime I'll be posting a lot more cereal box pin-up art!

The Spooky, Swingin' Sounds of Kreepsville Manor

Kreepsville Industries is putting together our 1st scary monster comp thur own label Headless Spectre Records. The cd is going to sound and look like one of those old Halloween record from the 60's that we love so much called "The Spooky, Swingin' Sounds of Kreepsville Manor". You'll scream-along with some of our favorite spooky surf, garage, psychobilly and other eerie bands as; Psycho Charger, The Fuzztones, The Legendary Invisible Men (who have recorded a new track for us called "Headless Man"), Thee Merry Widows, The Memphis Morticians, The Vooduo, and The Moon-Rays among a few others. Plus, haunted sound f/x, a tale of terror told by yours truely Von Kreep, and some of the most bloodcurdling monster artwork featuring 1313's main ghouls Red Alice Tate, Gogo Vulnavia, El Psycho, Professor Von Sasquatch and myself Von Kreep, created by our guest artist Belgium animator/illustrator Pigsnoot.

I've included above a sneak-peak preview sketch of some of the inside booklet graveyard zombie art. In the coming day's I'll be posting the finished full color art including the wrap around cover that features us kreeps having a monster shindig in our haunted house that's know as Kreepsville Manor.

Rob Zombie's Hartman kreepy shirt!

Last night 1313 attended the Rob Zombie show in Washington, DC at the 9:30 Club. And to my surprise I saw this amazing t-shirt featuring 1313's very own mad monster artist David Hartman eye-popping scary artwork! You can buy the shirt and a few others featuring David's work on Rob's grave site. And if you get a chance to go the show, you'll be treated to some of David's animation featuring a very cute and sexy witch and monster heads that are projected on a large screen behind the stage.

It was a great show indeed! A big monster thanks to Rob and Jodie for hooking us up with passes! And to Blasko for hanging out. You spooks rock the graveyard!

Joining the Monster Shindig

Here's another spooky, scary record for all the little monster kids out there in Kreepsville that I accuired this past Oct. from Jason over at Scar Stuff. Released in 1966 from Hanna-Barbera called "Monster Shindig" is ghoulish gem that features some kreepy-delic music by Danny Hutton such as; "The Monster Jerk", and other tracks featuring my all time favorite monster cartoon family, "The Gruesome's" from "The Flintstones" such as; "Joining the Monster Shindig". And lets not forget the way KOOL cartoon cover! If you haven't figured it by now this album is the reason why I named this blog and 1313 comic book what I did. It's brought me long witching hours of joy while making all sorts of unspeakable horror's in the haunted lab.

Enjoy!
